I was leaning more towards this type:

simply as if I had the rack you mentioned and it wasnt filled completely with matching wrenches id go crazy LOL but with the strips I can trim them and also use them with stubbys.

I got those red ones and was not that happy with them. I ended up getting a set of the gripper ones. I do like the steel ones from vim tools. I just don't like the shipping cost.

I am using some of the red ones pictured above, and they seem to work ok.
One good thing about them is that you can place them at any distance apart that works for you.

I have both. The Snap-Ons are slightly lower in height. Also, the slots for the wrenches are all the same size. On the Ernst, the slots are graduated for different wrench sizes. They both work fine for me. I don't remember what I paid for the Snap-Ons, probably 20 yr. ago, so don't know how they compare in cost.

I have the Ernst pictured. I'm really happy with them. They save a lot of space and work well with all of my wrenches. They also fit in a shallow drawer of my new box, but didn't in my old box.

I bought mine on Ebay, that was where I found them to be the cheapest with shipping.

I prefer these made front aluminum. They hold multiple wrenches of the same size in each spot. Here are some plastic ones by Wrench Boss.

Strips and racks for me. I put hockey pucks under some of the racks to lift them up so everything fits nicely the way I have it set up. Definetly cut and modify the strips as needed. My strips are snap on and Ernst. The racks are bluepoint and cornwell maybe.

Do you have any suggestion on rack for larger wrenches like 1 3/8 to 2 inch

Mine are snap on. They have a large size aside from the regular size. I still had to massage the rack a little.

Just got the Ernst 6015. I got the ones didnt have tape or magnets with them since I wasnt sure how I was going to make them stay put when I bought them. Because I am a bit CDO and am always looking for better ways to organize my toolbox, I ended up cutting a piece of 16 gauge aluminum I had laying around and double sided taping it to that instead of my drawer bottom. Then I (tried to) cut my drawer liner to lay over it. Im mostly satisfied with the results.
