Hi Yall
Has anyone got any real world experience of this tool?
It's going to be used in a heavy machine environment to undo bolts that have been torqued to 200lbft.

I personally dislike their ratchets, however your use would be an easy everyday task for this tool.

I know that ratchet’s have taken huge leaps forward over the years, in both design and materials, but I can’t help thinking that’s a job for a breaker bar!

I'd rather walk back to my tool box for a breaker bar than wreck a ratchet. Those Wright 3/4" drive ratchets are awesome, though. Might not be the latest design presented by some marketing department. But proven, durable and reliable.

200 ft pds, . My 1/2" torque wrench goes to 250#, so its easily within it's range. Though I would suggest you get some form of breaker bar or T-handle, so you can put a 6' pipe on it.

Some how I was always taught not to abuse ratchets.I would use a breaking bar ,or tee handle to loosen the fasteners. Then out comes the ratchet to remove the fasteners. In my thinking a ratchet is a speciality tool to be used that way. That way you don't run the worry about warrenty,or even a chance of injury .I under stand that ratchets now days are pretty tough but still it would extend their life,no matter the brand or quality of the ratchet. Some thing about grabbing a broken tool and hurrying off to the store,on a Sunday afternoon to warrenty a tool, that I could of used differently, just doesn't make sense to me.

A 1" bolt is a size commonly used with a 3/4" . The torque setting for a Grade 8 is 682 ft pds . A 3/4 ratchet should be able to handle that.

What are you talking about? They have a torque setting that is in play at 200lbs like stated in the OP. You don't need a 3/4 for 200ft lbs

3/4 ratchets are heavy, I have a 3/4 tee bar and pipe and a 30" 1/2 drive ratchet with a thin 1/2 to 3/4 adapter
