I just received my new Wright 3430 which I am extremely happy about. I would like to properly clean and lube it, but am not sure how to properly remove the retaining ring/clip. Can anyone shed some light on how to do this? Also, are all Wright ratchets equipped with this style retainer, or is this limited to the 3430?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Its just a spiral of spring steel.
Get under the end with a pick and roll it out, getting it back in can be a bit more tricky.
My only other Wright ratchet is the same, a long handle 3/8".
The internals are all in one so there is nothing to fly out and get lost.

Thanks for the tip! I used a pick and worked perfectly. Getting it back on was not too bad either. I lubed up my new 3430, and it seems to be quite a bit smoother, but was really crisp prior to the lube. I guess it is just a habit of purchasing a new ratchet.
