I have a few screwdriver sets. Snapon, Craftsman, S-K, and a bunch of misc. it s time for me to upgrade / replace worn drivers. I have had really bad luck with the last few snapon screw drivers I have had (unless the instinct are far better than the old hard handles as far as quality). I have one Wright screwdriver Philips #3 the handle is extremely comfortable and as far as I can tell the shank has held up really well. I am debating buying the 10pc set for about $60. I was wondering is anyone has had a good/bad experience. I know that 60$ isn't a ton of money but I take screwdrivers kinda serious so any input would be appreciated. I am not extremely experienced with wright tools even though I work as a mechanic for an industrial contractor and I run into their tools at plants and mills all the time I don't personally own any besides a ****** 3/4 ratchet and the one #3 Phillips that sits in my box unused. Here is a link to the drivers any input appreciated. https://www.google.com/url?q=http:/...6L3-8w&usg=AFQjCNGj_E1seFsahA4jYl2DwzjG0xB3QQ

Manufactured by Pratt Read, which is owned by Ideal who also owns western forge. I've owned that set for quite sometime and haven't had any problems.

I heard some where that wright makes their screwdrivers with the same steel as their chisels? Does this hold any legitimacy or is it a rumor? Not trying to hijack the thread just curious.

Wright doesn't manufacture there screwdrivers nor there punches or chisels.. They do "offer" mayhew products in there catalog, but as far as I know they don't even re-stamp them. As stated earlier, Pratt read is the Oem of there screwdrivers, from shank to handle. <--- last I knew.

I have the same set in black industrial finish vs the bright finish you show. I love this set! These are not overpriced Craftsman screwdrivers. The handles are larger and more comfortable and have not problems with the tips. I'd bet you would be pleased with this set.

I am very happy with mine, the handles on the larger drivers take a bit to get used to, but I do not use the larger ones enough for it to matter.

Thank you guys you just reaffirmed my decision. I really liked the handle on the one I have and I feel like the shanks are extremely hardened to bad they're not bolstered but I guess you can't have it all. I guess for 60$ worth a shot thanks a lot GJ members.
