Wright Combination Wrench

they have nice, fuller body, rounded beams, that seem to start in 1 3/16 and bigger. any other manufacturer offer smaller wrenches with similar construction?
i had to work on a bunch of nuts/bolts, 15/16 and 1 1/16. the narrow beams started to hurt my hands. no, can't get sockets in where the bolts hide.

Spud wrenches come to mind. Maybe some older DBE wrenches had rounded beams.

Some regular combo wrenches have thick rounded beams that won't make your hands hurt. Bonney comes to mind as being a very comfortable wrench to use.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been down this same road.

The Stanley Blackhawk had that heavier thick oval beam similar to a Wright, at least the USA-made ones had it. Not sure about the current new ones. There's a few listings on eBay for them.

I've also seen nearly identical handles on older Stanley-branded wrenches, might be the same tool with a different name.

There's a couple other old ones with a real comfortable beam, but they're not made anymore and are a little tuff to find.

Seem to remember Williams USA combos sort of rounded smooth beam
the smaller Wrights still have a wider more hand friendly beam than many others such as Craftsman or Snap On (narrow=goes in tighter places)
the larger styled Wrights are probably made for Olympic weightlifters

looks like, there are at least 2 versions of 'super combo' a thin beam, and, it seems, a thicker beam that enlarges a little past the open end and continues thru to the box. just ordered one, to verify.

Mac wrenches, a litter thicker and rounded corners, like them better that the thin SO for the same reason. Around here Mac dealers ae hard to come by.

The USA Williams do have very rounded beams; thicker than the Wright, very big compared to other wrenches. Oddly the older 15/16 Wright is nicely rounded.

My late 1990's Williams Supercombos are thin, pretty much Snap On thin, so buyer beware when it comes to buying Williams.

If not, the old Bluepoint XD-3044 is a round handle double box wrench with both sizes you need.
15/16 & 1-1/16 on one tool might be handy for your application.

I like the round beams on the older SK raised panel wrenches. Very rounded, not super light weight though. I do tend to use Wrights more though.

The Wrights are nice if you can find an older one that doesn't have the teeth on the open end.

My Williams USA Supercombos are nice rounded thick beams.

I also have most of a set from 1 3/8 to 2 1/2 of Wrights holy thick beams Batman

15/16 williams 1230 supercombo arrived today. beam is meatier than standard wrenches.
not as large, as in the 'rounded' beam found in the larger wrights. think my hands will be more happy with williams.
thank you guys. i will be obtaining 1234 (1 1/16) and 1240 (1 1/4)

last wrench, 1 1/8 arrived. now have 15/16 thru 1 1/4. most likely the last large wrenches i buy in this lifetyme
