I recently picked up a few Wright Grip wrenches.

The attached picture shows some alpha/numeric codes. Are they the obvious manufacturing date codes, or something else.

Thanks in advance

Wright started out with a 2digit date code, moved to a Alphabet code and now are back to numerical date coding.

I'm showing F1D on a couple ratchets and wrench. From other posts they have been going to a 2 digit date code.... Not sure which 2 out of the 3 it would be (I'm assuming it's the first two..) However F1.... Not sure what that would be...

Wright makes fantastic stuff. I still have yet to figure when they switched to the dual pawl in the ratchets.......I think it was mid seventies. They went from 41 to 82 or something.
I just call(on a telephone) and get a kit.
Quite fine.SK was supposed to do something similar but they seem to spend more time in bankruptcy court than product development meetings. Damn shame. Their ratchets are real decent.Coarse to coarse/old school they were better than Wright but the dual from Wright crushed them.
I have hundreds of ratchets. Wright is on top of my list. Many are "better". Wright is like a 55 Chevy. Grab and go with zero worries. Stranded on an iceberg with one brand....make it Wright

I didn't "find" Wright until I was pretty much done purchasing tools I need.

Wish I found them out earlier, some of the nicest quality tools I've used...

I was finally able to snag a set of wright grip wrenches off of Craigslist for a smoking deal and I gotta say these are a great set of wrenches! The chrome is impressively nice.

I'm a huge fan of weight but not a whole lot of their stuff I'd say 100 to 120 sockets, 3 wrenches no rats lol I prefer my dual80 rats but I'd take a wright or 2 any day if I could find one used cheap. I've talked to them a few times any always nice people they sent me a lot of memorabilia .

What do you all think about a date code of "+6" on a 3/4" drive 1" deep socket, marked with part number DS-632. Not listed in 1956 catalog and not any newer.

1936? Wrong answers are welcome since two (or more) wrong answers could eventually lead to the Wright answer!

I think your guess is correct, there is a vintage Wright thread in the vintage section that might give you a better idea.
