I am always surprised and amazed just when I think I have seen every tool out there up comes another one that I have never seen before. Some of you might remember from one of my stories that by chance I found a gold mine of 1920 & 1930 tools at a garage sale but because I was so late many were gone by the time I got there.

I do not have any vintage Wright Catalogs to look at and the web is not helping me out so far but maybe in time it will happen. Lately I have been trying to write about tool companies that are not high on the radar of collecting, but wright is very high on that collecting list and their history is well documented on the web.

I found this little 3/8 beauty at that garage sale and in my 40 plus years of tool hunting this one took me by surprise as you would say! I am not sure when they were made or in what sizes but if you look closely at the pictures it was indeed made in their factory.

Something to look for in your many tool hunts.:rocker:

Anxious to see what Lugz and/or Don thinks about this one...............I wonder if it's ever shown up in military specs?

That's a sweet old find Woody! I would have picked that up for sure.

Most brands had breaker bars with the female handle. I think that's what is, but interesting part here is the extension shape for sure. Very cool looking.

I would guess 1930's. What do you guys think?

Based on the rough finish, I'd say your spot on. Likely early 30's or even late '20's when the companies were experimenting with tools and before they all pretty much started offering the same components.

That is quite the interesting piece Woody! I could see myself actually using something like that. I really like my SK 1/2" drive breaker with the drive hole in the end of the handle.

Very nice. Never seen that one. I know p&c had a design similar to that.
