so, from all outward appearances, a 4494 and a 14494 appear to be identical ratchets. but if they were, why would there be different part numbers?

the wright catalog i downloaded doesnt seem to mention the 14494.

is it some government contract number or something? i have seen others with this issue, but i dont remember which ones it was . . . ..

thanx.

The 4494 says to have a swing arc of 3/4" and the 14494 says to have a swing arc of 2". Every site I've checked said the same for both. Whether or not its true, I couldn't say...

I recall reading in another thread here or on Amazon, that there is no 14494. The 4494 is the longer handled version of the 4490. Someone mis-typed or made up the 14494 number as the long handled version, and others copied the mistake.
