If you bought it from Amazon they will give you a hard time. I bought brand new sealed Wright 1/4" metric sockets on a rail. The were mismatched in appearance and the majority were missing the detents. Wright bascially told me "too bad". They were the last Wright tools I bought, went with Proto.

Here's the link to the thread I started... http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=132526

Jeeze this thread is almost 4 years old. I never did get a response though. Haven't bought a Wright tool since.

Lol.. So did Wright say "too bad" or did you not get a response? Crazy inter webs..

It probably was a mix between old and new but they still should have at least offered you the sockets to match and take back the ones that didn't. I probably wouldn't have bought another tool from them again either. I don't own any Wright but then again I have pretty much all the basics already and really don't think I need to upgrade. It's disappointing to here especially from a local to me company.

Wright said too bad when I contacted them first. The Wright representative or whoever that was a member of this forum is the one who never responded after that.

It was a $23 loss 4 years ago. I'm over it. Just trying to pass my experience onto someone else with a similar issue.

Well unfortunately GJ has a tendency to run off manufacturer reps, I don't recall the reps name, but he was fairly high up the ladder, maybe he just didn't want to deal with small issues. :headscrat If I have any issues with a Amazon purchase, it's a no brainer, there customer service is A+. Based off my personal experiences with Wright purchases, it's common to find sockets sets with varying socket lengths, which almost always because they are from different years. I've found these sets mainly with cheaper prices/vendors, so I always just took the good with the bad, the detent issue as i mentioned earlier, is because the older sets in 1/4" didn't have them.
