Wright Tool impact sockets

I need to get some shallow impact sockets. What does everyone think of Wright Tool impact sockets? I have their combination wrench set and I am very happy with them. I have their 3/8 & 1/2" drive impacts and extensions in SAE & metric and have zero complaints with them. Would buy them again if I had to do it again.

I made a spreadsheet comparing SK, Wright, Proto, and Williams impact socket sets and looked at the price per socket. In every situation, the Wright sets are the least comprehensive and most expensive. Proto is the best if you buy from Zoro with coupon.

Wright are tough but pricey when you can get a complete set of sunex, gear wrench or genius set for much cheaper.

I believe i have that exact set. I got it new off the bay a few years ago for $90. They've worked well. My dad has a couple old sets of their impact sockets and they've held up well.

Wright make high quality impact socket. Same quality as SO at half the price because they don't have to add the cost of driving to your business location.

Ive only come across a very few "low" quality impact sockets, Olympia and Husky. Most impact sockets on the market today are very stout and durable.

Thanks everyone for your posts. I was looking at the sunex, which have few more larger sizes, but are those really needed for a home mechanic? Probably that larges vehicle I would work on is a Ford E-250 and for axel nuts they would be to shallow.

I have the Sunex 2652S set which goes to 27mm, with some skips, and use it more than my Snap On flank drive set. More sizes and a nice case to keep them in. Plus, side by side you could never tell which brand is which. If I hadn't gotten such a good deal on the Snappy's, I'd solely use Sunex. I have multiple Sunex sets, all excellent quality and very complete. I have multiple sets of Wright impact sockets 3/8" drive thru 3/4" drive, so sets are some are 36 years old used in industrial and automotive and have zero problems. In my opinion they are the best.
