Never heard about the brand until I joined this board. In a lot I picked up this weekend, there was one Wright 3/8" extension among the treasures. Does Wright sell any contracts in Canada, or did this extension have an interesting little journey to find its way into my toolbox?

I would assume that with all the mining, and oil stuff going on in Canada, Wright has been, and will be there for some time.

My local tool store carries an extremely limited number of Wright wrenches and sockets. I picked up a 3/8" drive 3/4" standard socket for something like $1--my first Wright tool.

Hey Rusty,
It might be because Wright does not sponsor car racing, posters and such, that you don't"SEE" the Wright tool name everywhere.

You can check them out at www.wrighttool.com

To all GJ members for your information Wright Tools can now be purchased through SMS Equipment branches in Western Canada including the Thunder Bay branch. Rastall Mine Supply in Sudbury, Ontario can also order WT. Wright Tool will be increasing its distribution network in Canada and I will keep GJ members posted... Colen

Wright is available through The Tool Place in Kamloops and in Kelowna. They are also available for order from Lordco. There is a Wright warehouse in Burnably that will supply Lordco. I wish they were more readily available for over the counter at Lordco, I like to look and touch before buying. It would be great if canucks could have a good online supplier, on this side of the line!

Wright has been north of the border for some time - my father's go-to ratchet at work was a Wright 1/4 drive with a 1990 date mark (would have been a dealer in Calgary about that time, I guess). I believe there's also an industrial distributor and an independant truck distributor in Winnipeg that stocks Wright.

In some ways Wright reminds me of Gray... industrial focus & family run.

I'm a little suspicous that all of a sudden new wright tools are popping up everywhere. Over the years the only write tools ive seen where like a hunderd years old, I figured the write tool company went out of bussiness. In the last six months ive seen them show up in my shop, one of my tool retailers that sold SK tools started carring write. They seem to be high quality tool.
