Has this company been purchased by Snap On. I think it has but I'm unsure at this time.

rhandwor,
WRIGHT TOOL is 100% owned by the Wright family. They own their own forge and over 80% of WRIGHT's design, engineering, manufacturing and finishing is done under the same roof!
They only use 100% American made steel! They offer up 3 1/2" drive sockets and tools. In business since 1927.
A true AMERICAN tool company.www.wrighttool.com.
I am proud to be a part of WRIGHT tool sales.

I have heard this one multiple times on ebay. Usually end up reporting it, probably have frustrated a few not too honest sellers. There are multiple items my preference is for the Wright version vs the Snap on one though.

This is a Wright tool. Wright tools is a Snap on company or some similar statement.

I think I reported that one about every month to ebay up until last fall for about a year to 18 months. The first couple did not get pulled after sending in the Wright website they started pulling them. I usually only look at wrenches and sockets though.

I have not seen one since last fall. I was hoping the people behind those statements finally gave up. Our farm has used Wright as one of our mainstays since the 1970's. We use almost every major brand. The satin Wright wrenches are in most of the machine tool boxes they survive the abuse well. Great polished wrenches look like hell after about 10 minutes of riding in a box.

It's the WTF(world tool federation)SMACK DOWN!!!Circle the Tool trucks!Hide the woman folk!!
I LOVE this site, with ALL the underlying messages, hidden meanings and spies lurking about for the TOOL MANUFACTURERS!!!!!
Way more than 90% of the folks on here are unknown,so it is very intriguing to assume you know who you talking to.This is like playing spy games when you were kids!Man I crack me up!:bounce:

I emailed Wright a few weeks ago and asked about this rumor. The response was that they absolutely were not owned by Snap On and asked that I email them back and tell them where I read the rumor. The folks that own and operate Wright are quite proud of being their own company.

And I really like their tools.

There are still several indy companies left besides Wright and Cornwell. SK, Klien, Pratt Read, Martin, Lisle, Wilde not to mention the Stanley congolmarate and that's just to name a few. Snap On and Danaher are by no means the onle game in town.
