What is your complete metric wrench set size 6mm-70MM ?
I have the Snap-On flank drive plus, but prefer the (v-opening) of the Wright and/or MAC knuckle savers myself.
What type of box?

Don't worry someone will comment about how 'HARLET FREIGHT' has wrenches that are superior.
This is a great thread. It sounds like most on here agree Wright combo wrenches w wrightgrip are the best quality for the money, correct? They look to be about half the price of the comparable snap ons. Personally I like a thicker/heavier beam as well. I have an old set of vintage Thorsen combos which are my favorite metric wrenches and they have a rather heavy beam. Eventually I want to upgrade my combo wrenches and am leaning towards the wrights.

To me it's between the WrightGrips and the Williams USA SuperCombo (not Williams Taiwan which doesn't have it). For me it'll probably end up Williams because I know what I'm buying when I buy Williams. Wright otherwise seems to be an excellent choice, and both are relatively affordable.
Though I should probably focus on buying stuff other than wrenches... for now.

The 70mm I found while cruising Amazon one day and it was listed for $75 (retail $560!), I bought it just to hang on my wall, have no practical use for it.
70$ difference for the same wrenches but different finish?
Or I am missing something?

I am ready to buy my wrightgrips, where is the best place to get them? I was looking on amazon and the metric set 958 is out of stock, they have the 915 set in stock for $240. Anyone have any other place to get them for a good price?

I bought a set of satin WrightGrips (Set 711) in like new condition at a local pawn shop for $30. They felt great, but money was a little tight so I sold them on eBay (for a lot more than I paid!). The problem is, I'm really kicking myself now! Between the thick beams and the satin finish, I think I fell in love!
I'm pretty sure I'm going to sell my SuperKromes and Craftsman Pros and buy some WrightGrips. So I'm all for a Wright day!

is it a better deal to buy the 7-24 or 7 - 21mm? The price differnce is pretty big like ~$40 on Amazon. I think it might be better to get the 7-24mm as 24mm is a size I come accross sometimes.

I live in Ohio and placed my order for the 958 set locally on 4-11-2015. I just called to see if they have arrived yet for me to pick up and they have not. This local place I purchased them from is less than a half hour from the Wright plant.
I would be interest in the Wright Day for a 915 set.
These sets were to replace my ole' trusty RP Craftsmans.

I think the #958 18-Piece Full Polish Metric, is probably the best deal. Congrats.
Big wrenches are expensive. If you price out a 24mm Wright individually, it could be anywhere from 30-40 bucks, possibly even more depending on the dealer.
So I'd say if you come across 22-24, pick up the larger set if its a 40 dollar difference. If you dont come across those, just opt for the cheaper set.
If you come across those larger sizes rarely, you could always pick up a USA craftsman individually for probably 10 bucks. I purchased the 7-21, and then bought some NOS french made Facom for the larger sizes.

I have purchased a ton of Wright tools, locally and online. I also have a full compliment of Snap-On and some SK. All are great tools, but the Wright for the money are the cream of the crop. I am at the point where I don't factor cost as highly as I factor want. Even if they were the same price as Snap-On I would buy them.

Before I found this board I had never even heard of Wright. I have a metric SO FDP set, and have been wanting to upgrade from my SAE RP Cmans but couldn't justify the SO price. I also really wanted an ASD design if I was going to spend the money on another wrench set. I just got my 915 set yesterday and I have to say they are fantastic! While I think the complaints about sharp SO beams are vastly overblown I also think the Wright beams are better. Plus I love the large clear size markings. Now I'm looking for projects that I can use them on.
