...because of $50 worth of gift certificates.

I have an old 18V Dewalt cordless, and I'm eyeing either the M12 or M18 brushless tools to replace it, but I'd also like a nice old fashioned drill with variable speed and a ton of torque. Ideally I'd like to keep the tab under $100 but if there's something out there for a bit more I'm that guy who bumps himself when buying shiny things.

Thanks
Doug

Honestly all the cordless stuff these days outshines all the corded stuff

Keep a look out at Home Depot I got a makita 12v impact and drill combo for 99 bucks last year around Xmas time

After checking out Sear's website and only what's sold by Sears, there is only one I would even consider. The Dewalt 1/2" hammer drill priced at $99. I prefer Milwaukee but I don't see any. Only 25 of the 40 drills they sell, would load though. Terrible website. I'd be tempted to find something else I needed.

I agree. Years ago I had Craftsman drills and they all failed in light use.

I don't agree that cordless replaces corded. But cordless are now very good for what they do.

I've got a couple dewalt corded drills. The biggest is 1/2" and if will break your wrist if not careful. It has it's place in the shop.

If you buy a Craftsman, it may be a valuable collectors item soon. ;)
