I have a 9' fairmont and a Billings that measures 6.5 inches. Any interest? Don't know much about monkey wrenches but have about 8 to sell.

I thought my grandpa was the only one that called them Monkey wrenches. I just assumed it was a regional thing in OH and KY because here in MO I have never heard anyone call them by that name.

Trust me, at first even I was pretty surprised to hear it being called Monkey wrench. Made no sense actaully

Actually, only the Billings in the photo above is a monkey wrench; the Fairmount is an auto wrench...

Still, wiki says a "Baboon spanner" is a (really) large pipe wrench, and not one of the two pictured.

Close, they call it a Bobbejaan spanner. Bobbejaan being Afrikaans for baboon.

Monkey Wrench is an English term.
