Looking for a decent made in USA 3 ton arbor press. Ideally I would like a Dake model 1 1/2B ratcheting 3 ton press, but will consider others. Locate in S.E. Michigan

I grew up in Detroit. I picked up a nice #5 for $50 back in 1969. I moved it to Indian, Seattle and now here to California.
What a hoot. Not many know the brand you are looking for. They are not cheap. They are made in Michigan. I am not sure if they are still in business.
Detroit was full of used machines years ago. I am sure they are long gone now. All the factroies are gone. It is mile after mile of empty buildings now.

Hope you find one. Try used Machinery dealers In 50 years of junking the one I have is the ony one I have come across. I was a tool and die maker for GM so I know what they brand.

Dake is still in business. I will keep looking and find one for the right price in the right place eventually.

I found a Dake model 00 on eBay (still good buys there?! Who knew?)
I got this guy for $61 local pick-up on my next trip through central NY (April?). Good one for lighter use than my 3 ton Palmgren.

I contacted Dake (Scott Rice <[email protected]>) for the owner's manual. Model 00 = 1 ton.

Oh yea, welcome to the forum!

He got back to me with in 1 day. They still sell model 00 and have replacement parts. Thank you Scott!
