No offense intended, but why do you like this model/style drill? I have an ugly one but I don't think it works too well. It looks like it was used a lot. I bought it because I wanted the little trim saw that came with it. I bought them used BTW.

I would say

A. he has extra batteries

B. Its worked well for him for over 10 years so why change something you like, and have batteries to?

I found the drill model 6012hd w/ 2 OLD batteries, charger, and case. Worked fine last time I used it. Quit using it because of batteries. PM me and see if this fits what your looking for.

They have one at the local Pawn shop, I saw it today. It's the drill + battery, I don't think the charger is included.

They had it marked $49.99, but the guy said it was part of their 50% off sale, so $25 + tax.

I'd be glad to pick it up + ship it to you if you want it (and want to pay shipping...)

let me know.

Thanks guys, let me check my model. I think it's in the baby's room, so I can't wake the little guy up.

As for the drill: the one I have, and the couple my dad have are early models with great housing and internal parts. Super durable. My uncle has several he uses for drywall and floors. I've just found they really hold up. And you're right, I've got batteries and charging stations for them. Side by side with my new Swiss-made Hilti, I _almost_ still prefer the old US-made Makita. The newer version of this drill is one I don't care for. The housing looks and feels cheap. The chuck isn't as nice.

Thanks guys. The Model I have is 6095D. Serial No 2684374 A. The newer models, which I'm not as interested in, had a more rounded radius on the housing.

Pics coming tonight or tomorrow.
