No tools PT....it's about your avatar. He always played "sissy or second bannana" type parts and always looked a "kookey" 14 year old. Saw him in something a while back and S#@T did he look old....something like me.

What is his name, please and thank-you?

The only movie I know he played in was American Graffiti and his character was named Toad.

His name in "real life" is Charles Martin Smith

Would you be interested in a feeler gage? I won't be able to tell you the model number and the #/size of the leaves until I get back home on Friday, if that's okay...

(As an aside, Charles Martin Smith was also the dorky FBI agent in The Untouchables who came up with the tax evasion charge and was later shot in the elevator, and he played the bass player in The Buddy Holly Story.)

You're right Private Lugnutz! I forgot about him in The Untouchables & the Buddy Holly Story.

good stuff!

As for the feeler gages, sure I'm interested. Shoot me a model number and maybe a pic by way of PM and we can go from there.

Sound fair?

No.12 . The only thing in the box with a number is the dial ... no.196. That's all the numbers I could find.

Prime –

Here’s the gage, a No. 72, with 22 leafs from .004” to .025”, on a center pivot pin with a lock-nut. In addition to the thickness, each leaf has “STARRETT” etched in it, and all the markings on the entire piece are crisp and strong except the .004 leaf, which is a little worn. This was in bad shape when I picked it up. It has been disassembled, de-rusted, cleaned with fine steel wool, and oiled, including each leaf, but some of the leafs show discoloration as expected. No pitting, however, and the overall condition is very good. I am fond of this gage, a fine specimen of the 30's to 50's era, but it’s not the right size for any of the kits I am assembling and it needs a good home.
