Anyone have one of those ~8" fans lying around? Looking for an old, all metal one...

Holy Next Day Delivery By The Post Office, Batman...

I get home with the goodies and head straight to the garage, grab a 12v UPS battery off the floor, look at the wires on the fan, notice they are orange and red, and connect them to the battery. Get a little spark, but nothing else. Oh well, a 50/50 chance, and I got the wires crossed. Try them again, and again a spark and nothing else...Spin the blades easily by hand. I'm hoping it's something simple like a disconnected wire, and that the motor is not buckin fusted...:( Jump in the Jeep and head down to pick up something at A&P. On the way down, I'm thinking about it again...Hmmm...red and orange wires...Little spark...Red and orange wires...Brand new fan, from a good company, never installed...Red and orange wires...

Come back from A&P, go back in the garage...Hook the red wire to the + terminal and touch the - terminal to the bracket of the fan...VA-ROOOOOOOOOOOM it starts...:bounce: Connect the orange wire to the + and find that to be high speed. :pimpflash

Need to wire it up to an actual swich, not just the lighter plug I have on it now, but for this week, it'll work.

Cliff - the post office tells me you should get the wampum by Tuesday or Wednesday.

It's about time you got ac in that jeep ;-) lol

Everyone's a comedian...:lol_hitti
