WTB: Vise (FOUND 1/25/2012)

Looking for a nice used Columbian bench or machinist vise in the 5" - 6" range. Must be made in USA, no cracks or broken castings and within 200-300 miles of northern WV.

Let me know if you have anything like this or know of one.

I have 1. Its in good condition with 4' jaws. i'll take $40 and shiping. I think it will go in $15 flat rate box. I can list list it on feebay so you will have buyer protection if you like. John

I not strictly looking for a Columbian, but it is what I would prefer.

when you say you want a vise in the 5"-6" range do you mean jaw width or how far it opens?

I have a new in the box Wright 4-1/2" machinist vise, made in the USA. Exact same vise accept for the name plate as a Columbian 604-1/2M3. All the replacement parts would interchange with a Columbian.


604-1/2M3 / 4-1/2" Jaw Width / 7" Jaw Opening / 4-1/8" Throat Depth / 59 lbs.

The Columbian version sells for $490. on Amazon and would make you a good deal on it.

Here are a few pics of the Columbian D45. The jaws are not original and were made by one of my coworkers. He also made a new handle. I'll check on the shipping and pm you a price this afternoon.
