Just puchased a vintage British bike - a 1970 Velocette Venom Clubman. Have had bikes since I was 16, but never anything British. My lifetime collection of tools now needs updating with weirdo sizes so I can work on this beast. They way I understand it, I'll need good tools because I'll be getting a lot of use out of them. :wtf:

Looking for *quality* 6 point sockets, ring spanners, combination wrenches, taps/dies - whatever. I'd prefer sets of stuff so that I won't have to piecemeal together what I'll need.

If you have something languishing in your tool box, I'd be interested in knowing whatcha got.

Thanks!

You can find a lot of good stuff on eBay. It just may have to come from across the pond. Or I could sell you some VERY expensive Snap on Whitworth tools (wrench set-socket sets in 1/4-3/8-1/2 drive). Did I mention they would be VERY expensive?

Thanks! I bought a BS/BA set from OldToolMan, so I think I'm good on standard depth sockets for now.

Still looking for combo and ring spanners.

Here is what I have available. As an FYI SO still sells the wrenches you can see them here:

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.asp?tool=all&Group_ID=567&store=snapon-store

The set I have is as new with these exceptions. The 1/4 BS and 5/16 BS show light (very light) signs of use. Also the 3/8 BS is the later script not the underlined Snap-on script but rather the block script.

I bought the wrenches and 3/8 sockets in the early 80s and the 1/4 and 1/2 sockets in the early 90s the 3/8 have underlined script the 1/4 and 1/2 are the block script.

Sorry it took so long click on pics to see full size:

$550 will find them at your doorstep, insured with tracking. Paypal, MO or personal check. (Must clear before shipping) Not interested in trades, offers or splitting up the set. Thanks
