Yeah it's an old flex shaft tool. Google wyzenbeek and staff. Company is still around and has a history page on its website. Also some old popular mechanics ads that pop up. Even a smaller version of that on eBay right now

Yeah,it appears to be an old flex shaft machine. You can get all sorts of attachments depending on size. Everything from full size angle grinders, to die grinders, to sanders, to polishers. The stand would have been to hold all the accessories. Suhner seems to be one of the major manufacturers of flexible shaft machines and accessories now. This is a link to the Suhner webpage showing some of the current machines and accessories. The machines aren't cheap.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... Can I get a head attachement?

It depends on what type of attachment the machine uses and what shape the flexibe shaft is in. I'm not really familiar with how many different types of attachment standards there might have been. Suhner still makes a large assortment of attachments but there very expensive. You'd likely be better off looking for older attachments on Ebay. This is a company that carries some of the Suhner attachments, check the prices.

As to the round cabinet on casters, is that a swivel base on the top? Maybe a round tray mounted there. Couldn't have been too tal or large in diameter. With only three casters, it would tip easily.

I have a similar unit made by "Stow". Mine doesn't have the nice cabinet yours has, but it is set up on gimbles so that it moves up, down, and side ways. As well as rolling around on a 3 wheel stand. Mine has a cobbled up grinding wheel on the end and I have not had time to do the cleanup restoration that is needed and replace the wheel. The little I have used it though, it is a hell of a machine.
If it were me, I would try to find a wire brush or grinder for the end and see how you like it.
Nice find for the price....:rocker:
