Hi all,
finally got a chance to inventory (but not clean up yet) a minor Craigslist scroe I picked up the other day; it's a mostly complete Williams 3/4" drive socket set.
I am missing the following sockets:
7/8" H-1228
1-1/16" H-1234 FOUND
1-3/16" H-1236
1-15/16" H-1262
Old script Williams preferred obviously.
I do have the following parts with it (that I'm keeping, just posting in case it helps nail down the era/style of the set)
Williams H-51 ratchet
SK 4716 extension (would trade for Williams)
Williams H-110 extension
Williams H-115 extension
Williams H-140 universal
Williams HNX-130 3/4"F to 1"M adapter (this one didn't come with the set, came with a used socket I bought)
unknown 3/4"F to 1/2"M adapter (might be interested in buying a Williams one to match)
Am looking for matching T-handle (H-40A?) and flex handle (H-41?). (I don't have a flex at all; the T-handle is a no-name and has a Craftsman socket welded to it.)
I have the following to trade, all 3/4" drive 12 point unless otherwise noted
Billings Vitalloy 1" H-1232
Wright 1-5/16" 6142 SOLD
Proto 1-5/16" 5542 SOLD
New Britain 2" NH 1264
Proto 1-1/2" 07524-LS 6 point shallow broach impact (Edit: this is apparently for servicing Budd wheels - http://www.protoindustrial.com/en/i...l-Deep-Length-Impact-Socket-1-1|2"---6-Point/) SOLD
MAC 1-5/8" 6 point ZD 526
1-5/16" Williams H-1242 (this one has some pipe wrench? marks on it) SOLD
Three of the sockets in the set are not Williams, so I'd only trade these for the "correct" Williams sockets unless I manage to get those in trade for some of my other sockets first.
1-3/8" is SK (47144) not Williams
1-7/16" is Snap-On (LDH-462) not Williams
1-3/4" is Snap-On (LDH-562) not Williams
also my shortest extension is S-K not Williams (not sure the length, I didn't measure it, part no. is 4716 and it does not appear to be a current part no. - but the extension is really nice looking)
Most sockets are in rather good condition but do have some minor surface rust. I will post pics tomorrow...
Would also be willing to sell if someone wants a specific socket or the lot and doesn't have anything to trade, but I'd prefer trade. I also have another WTB thread for some smaller tools here
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=276354
as I'm trying to get my girlfriend kitted out as well.

(wrenches, extension, and universal not for sale/trade)
Now that they're sort of cleaned up I can see that most of them have a stamped owner's mark "SS" on them somewhere, just letting you know in case that bothers you.
