Not a lot of guys with Wurth tools on this board. They push the consumables much harder than the tools in the states.

I have four of the Wurth (Facom style) round rachets and love them. I never tried the later models, don't need to as long as those four hold up. Sorry.

My brother works for wurth products here in the states. I believe the have 5 distribution centers. They have primarily only been able to sell fastening products, up until a few years ago. They have opened up the vehicle line to them. That is chemicals, oils, tools, etc.

Huge company in Germany, and manufacture many of their own products. Much of their product is over the top as far as quality.

Because they are the manufacture of their products, that is their primary business is selling to manufacturers.

I usually just tell brother what I need, and he gets it. They have many products to choose from. Have not been on it in a while, but the website is terrible. If you can get a printed version of catalog its unreal.

I think they started going after more than manufacturers about the time they started sponsoring in Nascar. I believe they sponsor a cup car at a few races, a nation wide car quite a bit, and a race.

As far as I know, Würth does NOT produce anything.
They contract suppliers to produce/sell them products with the Würth Logo/Branding.

The strong selling point for them is that they are almost a one-stop shop for most of the day to day needs of any workshop/handyman/contractor. And that the products they sell isn't ****.

I have not heard anything bad about Würth tools and I am completely satisfied with my stuff.

The older ratchets were made by Facom (Made in France)…today I don't know. :dunno:

The big angle grinder (Made by Fein) is one of the best money can buy, real heavy duty!

The screwdrivers are one of my favorites and made by Felo, especially for Würth.

Felo belong to the Würth group.

Wurth is a lot of rebrands and licenced products in the tool line. I have 5 Wurth wrench sets also, one is Japanese, Two are German and I can't guess the others but they look very Taiwanese by cross brand comparisons.

And the are all really good users. Not a dog in the bunch.

Prices of Wurth Mexico are scary to say the least but I think well 'wurth' it if you are going to be daily wrenching with them. As I was at the time of purchase. Harry Homeowner could get by by spending the price of one Wurth wrench set on everything including the roller box and still keep up the house well enough.
Unless he is a tool forum member of course.

Wurth UK won't be cheap either but there should be less shipping costs tacked on at least.

I've a 1/4 drive ratchet, sockets 6 through 14mm, and a 1/4 hand driver, with adapter to take screwdriver bits (plus a UJ adapter) "made" by Würth (same handle as in Blöckw@rt's pics) and it seem's fairly decent. I don't use the ratchet, as I've a smoother/finer one I prefer to use, but I've been using the sockets for the last ten years with no trouble.

Wurth usually sells good stuff...
Their power tools for example are from Bosch, Fein, Steinel, Metabo, Milwaukee, Kress, Flex, Dolmar, Karcher....

Wurth is a privately owned. They do not have to cater to investors.

I am sure that they do not produce everything they sell. I think someone that has been in the business as long as they have, they would want to diversify. As with many companies today, they may own or be a part of many other named products.

I can tell you that my brother, several times a year, deals with something that is needing to be custom made for a certain application. Usually in a manufacturing facility. If its something that is easily explained or easy to understand how they want it built, that is as simple as an email. He has been involved with some pretty off the wall things.

One I can remember is a fire hydrant manufacturer was looking at having the cap of the hydrant chained to the main unit. They had different size hook ups for different caps.

Of coarse much of his business is manufacturing facilities. Usually a typical order may be several thousand a month, or many thousands at a time.

I do know that several times he has had to make a run to one of places, with a pallet, barrel, or box of stuff. He likes these deliveries, because its usually about getting it, not the cost.

I was able to buy this set for approx 20 EUR.

Who makes the ratchet? Is it Tecos/Wareco??

I think the price is good anyway....

The best part is that wurth have a lot of Koken tools when it comes to sockets.

Bought Rost off plus and 2 x Philips screwdriver in a recent visit. The ph2 has the striking cap. The annoying part from buying from them is that you have to ask prices; it's not advertised. I haven't used screwdrivers yet but I believe the are rebranded Felo so hopefully they will be durable. They have a nice bit set box and twist off sockets in their product range.

I did not know they carried tools. Our shop had them start supplying our consumables about 6 months ago, I have been less then impressed. Any and all the aerosols are far inferior to the CRC brand products we used before, but it is nice to always have full stock on the shelf.

I have the torque wrench in the picture above and some vice grips - I get a very nice discount, which makes them cheaper than Facom, while the quality is on par...

Then you are lucky, here they are not... I know Facom from back in the 1980s and sadly, they don't make them as they used to...

I'm still waiting on the ratchet I ordered a couple weeks ago, how long does it usually take for wurth to deliver?

I picked up these nice used Wurth snap ring pliers not long ago. They are super heavy duty. Are they made in Germany?

No part number. I assume it wore off, they look older.

Those look like the older style French made Facom ring pliers. The same pliers were also sold under the SK brand and the Sidchrome brand.

Anyone had experience with wurth wrenches?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you are referring to the Wurth Zebra combination wrenches (non ratcheting made in Germany) - yes.
They are heavy and the open end is quite large and for such heavy wrenches they are tad short for my taste.

On the positive side the thick beam is very easy on our hands and they are so strong the local diesel shop has not managed to destroy one in decades. Fit is excellent and the finish in nice too.

Great wrenches.

- Zebra DOE, 6-19mm, These will never be sold by me. Front line workers every time.
- flex ratcheting wrenches, 8-19mm, wore a few out a few years ago, the wrist pin gets floppy after a million miles or so. They were replaced to keep the set in good order.
- Flex offset line wrenches, simply great tools in tight spaces.
- Quad ratcheting wrenches, set of two. Major (total) chrome peel on the small one, the other is still perfect. I kept it all the same, chrome doesn't turn the bolt. Size range is very German and not too good for Asain cars.

I have used but do not own:
- reversable ratchet wrenches, bulletproof under normal uses.
- Zebra combo wrenches, SAE and metrics. Ranged smallest to largest sold for my old boss' OCD. Some light chrome loss on a few but no user problems at all.

You won't regret anything but the price when its time to pay up. I'm a fan after using them for a few years in a pro enviorment. Hard to go back to other wrenches on serious jobs, the fit and feel is precise on all I've used, no notable flex and a thinner profile to fit about anywhere.
My opinion is I have no need to buy any other brand of wrench anymore. These are all I will need.
