Wurth Zebra socket sets

Hello everybody, new poster (but long time lurker) here
I am in the market for a new socket set and I would like to ask you your opinion about Wurth sets.
I would be very interested to read any comments about quality and durability. Inquiring minds want to know if you would you choose one of these sets over (eg) a Beta, Gedore or Facom one is the price is about the same

you can upload photos 2 ways. You can embed them with a like form a photo shearing site like flickr or photobucket. And just copy and paste the link into you post. The other way is go to the Go Advance tab, and and file management and upload jpegs. Just keep them under 1024x1024, it the files are to big. It will get rejected.

PS it looks like a nice set. Würth makes nice tools, and their rebrands then to be from high quality brand tools.

I have no personal experience with Wurth, but I generally hear good things about the quality of their products. Zebra series have lifetime warranty according to their salesmen, but no COO on them (at least the sets I had the chance to handle).
I have a couple of Facom sets (3/8 and 1/4) that I am happy with, but this Wurth one seems handy (1/2 and 1/4 in one metal box plus bits).
The Facom competitor is RS.440E but it lacks the long 1/2 extension (I needed that when I changed battery to my car the other day and I had to borrow)
Price for both sets is almost the same

Don't know anything about Wurth, but your link made me check this set out and they look so cool I want to order them just for their uniqueness! I wonder if Amazon prime works across the pond?

You could add the item(s) you are interested in at the shopping basket and find out if they will ship to you. If they do, you can also see the shipping cost. Personally I would pay a bit more and get a set on offer from (eg) Facom-Wurth-Gedore or similar brand. Or I would look at Carolus (eg) for cheaper.
I have seen some Proxxon sets in hardware stores and wasn't very impressed. Keep in mind though that I have never used them and many people (eg in amazon.de) say they are good value.

Both those Wurth and Proxxon sets are made in Taiwan. The only exception on the Wurth kit is that the 1/4" drive handle is made in Germany (possibly the 1/4" bits as well).

In the Facom set the 72tooth "palm control" ratchets are made in Italy in Gemonio after production in France stopped, but apart from that I have no idea where their sockets, extensions and the rest are made. The screwdrivers for the European market are still made in France (probably by Bost).

As for the Facom set, yes, the screwdrivers and basic pliers have been made by Bost for sure. As for the rest of the stuff in that kit above, with the exception of the ratchet (as you mentioned), I would guess that the rest of the stuff would be from Taiwan.

Taiwan is my guess too. I haven't had any problems with my (1/4'') Facom sockets so far, although I haven't used them heavily. Time will show. Unfortunately many manufacturers have moved production to Taiwan (to lower the production cost I guess).
