Moved back to Pa and was going through my stuff and re found this tool roll I had in storage. I think I'll hang onto it and if I ever get a willys jeep, I'll have a tool roll for it.
The Roll says: Motor Mechanics Tool Roll, Crawford MFG Co Inc, 1942

I think I'll hang onto it and if I ever get a willys jeep, I'll have a tool roll for it.
It would certainly be practical and functional, but just as an FYI, the smaller tools in the jeep kit were actually kept in a canvas bag shaped like a big envelope with draw strings to tie it closed. Your bag was a 2nd Echelon kit. I'm jealous. I've been hoping to run into one in the wild and no such luck yet. They're really cool the way they wrap up and have a carry strap. It's one of the bigger rolls that was issued. Listed in the ORD 5 SNL J-15, but not shown on the figures page.
