I'm totally addicted to watching this Portuguese woman make **** on YouTube. She's got decent skills for sure, but I'm mostly impressed with the creative way she shoots her videos. They are gorgeous... and on point.

i can mill alu on my cnc router, however on that setup i am not sure. I think the belt drive is not the way to go.

I can do signs and stencils on mine with 6 and 8ga. aluminum panel stock. I have had luck with the engraver bit , but use oil or there will be galling. I would think that with the right bit and speed dialed in, and with the addition of compressed air to cool or lubricant, that one should be able to cut 1/4 OK. This guy is doing it.

I watched a bunch of her videos. She does very nice editing, and there's something appealing about her way of speaking. She also is very detail-oriented, which I really appreciate. Seems like in later videos she really gets the hang of the X-carve and does some open-source modifications to improve it.

Yeah... She's captivating. And the more you watch, the more you realize how serious she is about the details and craftsmanship.

I have been researching the X-carve with plans to buy and I have seen it do aluminum though the feed speeds are lower and you MUST have the highest speed motor they offer. The real drawback is that in order to get any precision the feeds are going to be slow and the production time is probably going to be hours and not minutes. It's not for making parts in any real volume, more for making one offs and not for production. I was hoping to make some money with it but I not believe its more for personal than any kind of business use, other than prototyping I think.

Agreed. Really nice editing and film angles. he does great stop motion stuff as well. I like his segmented bowls a lot! he has a killer Xcarve set up with a 0-90 degree clamping surface.

Ha Ha! when in doubt I type $#!+, but in this case I searched for "the bad word" on this forum and found a list 20 pages long of posts with the word in question. So I'm thinking it must be OK.

Very refreshing really, as I've been on some forums where it just gets silly. I used the word a$$ in a post as in "it was a PITA" only I spelled it out. I then got a PM from the moderator that I should only use words that his 8 year old grandson can read safely. This was on an adult motorcycle forum! I PMd him back and told him he was being ridiculous. He then said that he had never had anybody react so much to his gentle urging. I gave up.

OK, back on topic...

Great video! Thanks, it's very enjoyable to watch and then contemplate what I would do if I had something like that. So far I haven't come up with anything that would justify the cost , but I'm still trying really hard to make it so.

Yeah, I say some ****, too. I just wasn't expecting it from El Jefe on the front page. Does't bother me, personally.

It also depends on the standards of which 8 year old now, doesn't it? Because my dad said all the words! To include vintage swears like "oh, brass balls!" and more colorful Western talk like "colder than a witch's *** out there" or "harder than the back of God's head."

Currently watching the loft/bed build. Had to laugh though, I thought that's going to be way to low for anyone to stand underneath at 1,60m. Then I saw her standing underneath it... Southern Europeans are tiny (or we're giants)
