Xcelite Collectors / Gurus.....Question re: Magnetic Driver

Asking all the Xcelite Gurus out there if you’re familiar with the Hex Driver pictured.

I found 3 of these (All 5/16”) meticulously wrapped in old shop towels at a garage sale recently.

I’ve never seen this style handle / hex driver from Xcelite & cannot find it in any catalogs.

If you have any information, please share.

I’m also willing to trade the two extra I have for other sizes, pm if interested. (1/4, 3/8, 7/16)

Thanks, The fit in the hand and the groove cut-out is almost exactly like a Snap-on driver.

Never seen that style before. I looked online and Xcelite still offers magnetic nut drivers, but their handles are the same style as their regular drivers.

I’ve only found evidence of two others, a red handled 1/4” Magnetic Long & Short driver.

Maybe these were a one-off promotional deal or something.

I found it strange how these I found were singled out and wrapped up.

Shot in the dark but I’m going to email Apex Tool Group.

I have a red magnetic No. 8 too. Shown along with a regular No. 8. I bought these roughly 28 years ago at the estate sale of an old TV/radio/appliance repairman. Think I paid $2.00 for them plus a bunch of other little nut drivers made by Vaco as well as Xcelite. I would love to find more of the magnetic ones as I love the handle.
