The two pliers in the middle look like there were made by Wilde Tool.

The second from left looks like the G250 angle nose pliers possibly zinc coated and the ones next to them is the G270 tongue and grove pliers.

Very nice tool set and the price is right

I found this pair of 4" bent nose pliers in my hobby box. Most of the other stuff in that tool box is cheap chinese stuff. I forgot that I had them. I don't remember where I picked them up, but it had to have been in the early 90's and used. They aren't stamped, they're imprinted on one side only with :

XCELITE

Rats, i read all three pages of this entire thread to find out one thing, and not one person asked yet...

Do they have that Xcelite smell?

For those that know and used Xcelite tools from the 60s/70's, no explanation is necessary.

For those that don't know... no explanation will suffice

To explain how inexplicably horrible Xcelite plastic smells. Dried but still stinky cat caca is about the closest description I can think of, but again, no explanation will suffice.

More than the logo, a true Xcelite tool is known by it's smell!

And yes, I have a couple of sets of nut drivers, both large handle and small insert handle style. I can't even keep them in my drawers. Peew. Please tell me I'm not the only one besides my neighbor who notices how bad the Xcelite plastic smells?

You're not, but not all of them smell that bad. Seems like the screwdrivers and nutdrivers from the 60s and 70s have the stink more than other vintages do, and sometimes the color has something to do with it too. I've got a few that are really bad, others that you'd have to put right up to your nose to notice it (if you dare) and others that are just fine.

Very cool tool kits, I'd be bad tempted if it were closer....

Though, this soon after Epstein Day, avoiding that sort of temptation is probably good.
