Good morning all, I’m in need of a few replacement bits for an Xcelite XL-75, now called Weller XL-75VN. I have checked thru my suppliers catalogs with no luck. I tried to call the Weller technical assistance line but it’s in a perpetual loop saying the office is closed no matter what time I call. I tried calling Apex and the Crescent/Xcelite reps VM says he is retired with no forwarding info, the Weller rep has a vm that doesn’t allow messages to be left.. emails get an automated response but no real return.

For those not familiar with these bits or driver, the issue is, they are 1/4 but stick thru the back of the ratchet with a ribbed/knurled tip to advance the driver manually for precision work. So I don’t want to just use some off the self driving bits but am looking the exact replacements.

Does anyone have an idea on what the part #’s for these bits are? The whole kit is available in the Weller catalog but I can’t seem to locate the individual pieces, I would prefer to not have to buy a whole new kit if I don’t have to. Thanks!

I suspect these would be interchangeable with Chapman.
Thank you!! I just got off the phone with my grainger rep he confirmed that Chapman is currently the oem for apex/xcelite on this particular tool. Ordered the bits up, much appreciated.

I have passed on buying one of these sets, at garage and estate sales, dozens of times over the years. The special bits have always given me pause. I think that seeing that you can still buy the bits has changed my mind.
