Has anybody looked at these or considered them? Looking for Pros and Cons.

I have a 30'x40' shop and was considering VCT as the way to go, but these really good too.

I've been considering either doing an XFloor 2 bay and something on the rest of the floor, all VCT, or Motofloor. The Xfloor prices here are much cheaper at Sam's Club and I really like the look. I don't move into the new place until first week of Aug. I'm just reviewing options so I can do it before I move my stuff in.

I'm not going to prep and epoxy the floor myself that size, and I can imagine that have a pro come out will be very expensive.

From what I can find Sam's Club price is $6.80/sqft. I would imagine you could have floor coating installed for about half that.

I wasn't planning on doing the whole floor with XFloor, just maybe half. I still think pricewise, VCT is gonna be hard to beat though.

@ 9.99 a square foot, 1/2 of that 30x40 would run 6,000. I would think that any good epoxy or vct would be less including install for the whole job.

Flooring for my garage would cost half of what the garage itself cost.....though I can't argue that aluminum would make a great shop floor where fluids and welding are common.

Success of products like this amaze me...how are people smart enough to make enough money to afford the product, yet stupid enough to actually spend their money on it.

WOW, it looks great but is definately cost prohibitive. 10 bucks a sq ft.. Why not just lay gold brick pavers down, prolly less expensive LOL

Aluminum is soft! I would think it would scuff, scar and dent. Even fully supported from underneath a good hit would cause the metal to flow and deform. Weld slag sticks to aluminum. I use some that is a sandwich of two layers of Al with a plastic center layer as insulator when welding cages near headliners. it is easy to form to fit the location but splatter sticks to it.

Looks more like show off floor than real garage floor. It just might be what someone is looking for.

My shop is 30x40 and in addition to that I have an attached 3 car garage. I'll only need 1/2 for real workspace. The remainder is gonna be my lounge area. I wouldn't mind dressing it up a bit. I've been waiting for an opportunity to own a place like this for 20+ yrs and I want part of it to look really cool.

From looking at their website I would have the flooring questions based on quotes contained therein.

And if individual metal floor tiles ever need to be replaced - just pop them out and snap in new ones.
If they come out that easily would it not be bad to have liquids leak through the tiles?

XFloor uses anodized diamond plated aluminum over a polypropylene substrate
How thick is the anodized diamond plate and how thick is the polypropylene?

Sorry folks I was looking at the wrong product. (duh!!!) They have the Max tile for $6.95. The X Floor runs $9.84. I regret the misinformation.
