I've been looking at shelving components off and on the last few weeks. I looked at the Xtreme Garage Brand stuff at Menards. I was at Costco last night and they had some Edsal Brand Shelving, 4-shelf unit that looked pretty nice. It looked visually the same as the Xtreme stuff at Menards, different color was the obvious difference. The beam mounting looked similar...
Does anyone know if they're compatible? I'm was thinking of buying 2 units at Costco and if the shelf beams were the same, pick up some of those from Menards and end up with 3-section long run of shelving. Thought I'd ask if anyone's done this as well. If not, I may just bring in a tape measure and measure the mounting detail to compare....but thought I'd ask first.
For comparable 4-shelf unit, 72" tall, with 72" wide beams & 24" deep shelves, the Costco unit was about $35 cheaper but that included the wire decking for each shelf, when I priced the Menards stuff, I didn't add in any wire or plywood/MDF for decking.
