I have a YA-2225 that "works". When I say it works, it fires and cuts but the head is mangled and the contact start is not something I want. So there used to tbe a Alpha 3a upgrade but thats not sold anymore. There are plenty of places selling a S45 as a upgrade. Some 3 and some 4 wire. The only difference I can see is some are hot in the air line and others have a dedicated line.
I picked up the 4 wire, looked super straight forward. The item came with no instructions. I've been over this thing plenty and even had a welder and electrician come give it a once over.
With the P30 gun, I got air, heard the unit kick on and after a tap/mash it would fire and cut.
With the S45 I can get air, I head the unit kick on (both relays engage) but no arc.
I have been over the wiring and I'm sure I have it right but who knows.
Has anyone ever got one of these s45s to work on a YA2225 (or one of the many clones)?
