Im always on the look out on cragslist for good deals on old US made tools and equipment, well yesterday came across not one but two of the chain hoists ive been looking for with the optional roller chain(looks like motor cycle chain). $40 and they were mine, going to have to say this was the buy of the year so far when I got home found out they still make them and the guy I got them from said they were his dads and he remembers having them as far back as the 60's.

Yale 1 1/2 PD2 lever hoist

Any one else love these? Ill never use a cable come-a-long again!

I have one of these, but need to find repair parts. Its pulled a lot over 20 yrs. Didn't cost that much though. I wonder if you can buy the unit with out the chain?

Not sure about parts for these yet but when the handle fell off my CM 1/2 ton I called up a distributer and the said they still make it and the handle was like $175 which is more than I payed for the whole thing so it still sits with out a handle untill I can find a parts one.
I need to do some thing about the chain on both of these they only came with like 3ft of roller chain so I think ill extend one with the others and just buy regular chain to make the other like 20ft.

I have 2 buget chain falls with the roller chain. It works good, but doesn't give the flex like link chain. Use caution when aquiring the roller chain for your puller. If I'm not mistaken the chain is special test. I'm not certain though. If it is standard roller like say #60, Tractor supply has it in stock in I believe in 20-25 ft rolls.
