Nice score! The more garage and estate sales I go to, and as I get older (67+) I realize we're all just borrowing our stuff.

Great score! Looks to be this model. This was from the 73 catalog; they made the same/similar saw earlier as well.

I was just thinking, if you bought the perforated steel for the stand today, you'd probably have just as much in the stand as you do the whole thing. That stuff is crazy expensive for what it is.

I need to cut a bunch of square one inch tubing. Because I don't have the right tool, I'm dreading it. Then I see this post and it's yet another reminder that life is not fair.

gmhill,

Doesn't this horizontal saw also double as a vertical (bandsaw)? You may have to fabricate a 6" x6" plate and attach it to those two screws on the blade guide. You won't have a 14" of depth like on your wood band saw but you can cut about 8 to 10" of depth. I do not have a pic of my craftsman horizontal in the bandsaw mode but a google search will get you one.

That's the same saw that I have in my shop. Just set your stock turn it on and find something else to do.....it'll shut its self off when its done. That was a great buy!
