Hey, I have a 36x46 shop to build this summer so looking for some advice..
I had a few old sheds on the site so have finished removing these last week. Friday I had my local grader operator come in and peeled the top soil of the pad location.
So now I believe I need to get some sort of base down, like pit run or ? or do I frame out my pad location then get the fill, pack, etc? It looks like I need to build it up some to get the final height of the pad above grade..
Neighbor stopped in saying get some pit run, spread it out ,rent a vibrating tamper/roller machine, wet it /roll it,wet it/roll it, then get the final gravel mix to the proper level, tamp it in good, rebar and pour! ....sounds easy.....right?
BTW, the planned shop is a stick built, mono pour garage style building...just over sized..
