Ye old grease gun

I have been relocating "stuff" to my country place where I do most of my puttering with tools. Came across this grease gun which once belonged to my uncle (passed away oh, 25 years ago). I cleaned it up a bit, but before I reload it for use I was wondering...should I leave it as is, or paint it?

Don't paint; just let it stay a little greasey on the outside so it will not set to rusting.

I tend to be a bit messy...this won't be hard
