it appears to be. Looks like the only difference is the pads on the grips. I've got SO hammers with and without the pads and dont personally see much of a difference in how they feel when they hit something. I just wish I had easier (or any) access to a williams dealer for warranty purposes. those look like decent prices on amazon. not sure if Williams sells a dead blow ball peen hammer though?
