Picked up this yellow Matco double bay top and bottom with locker. Also has an overhead storage cabinet not pictured.

Made in 2000, in storage for 7 years. Guy worked on Maseratis and Ferraris, box is in great condition.
Got the tools also, mostly truck brands. Haven't gone through them yet.

Got Cornwell and Matco carts, all yellow. Those are dirty and more worn, especially the Matco

The one color I refuse to buy, yellow don't know what it is but just can't stand that color.
You are not the only one but every yellow box I have had has sold, normally within a few months.

If you don't like yellow, I have a pink one also😁

Oh, just thought of something. I don't advertise or do social media. Just this and another tool forum. Guy was referred to me by a parts store I know of but have never been in. The referer got him close but he googled used tools in Finksburg and learned from a THREAD HERE that I sold pressure washers and was easy to find after that. The referer said I sold vacuums and threw him off track.

Thanks GJ👍

Phil, what's the story with the KR 550 in the background of the yellow Matco picture?

Came in a 2 box deal. That is the box I asked you about the paint match for snap on red. Stored in a shed and lots of rust especially on the drawer fronts Going to do a quick paint on the front and display tools in it. It is rough, I have the drawers that aren't shown.

The other box that came with it was a snap on krl double bay that was never used but stored in same shed and also had rust issues but not as bad. The drawer liners were still sealed in plastic.

Cool. I'm finishing up a restoration on one of those right now. It's taken awhile, but worth it.

I’m the exact opposite. I love yellow and it’s various hues and wish more companies offered yellow today. It seems to have fallen from favor though with everyone else.

Tool boxes and colors and such are always changing to get folks to upgrade every so often. For decades they were red, then black and blue and green became popular. Then theme based boxes, different trim colors, full length drawers. Now mega boxes, different colors, tops, add ons. Constant marketing to get your dollars. Plant the seed of new and shiney🤣

Just like they do on the home shows. Latest trends in cabinets, sinks, paint colors, bathroom fixtures. Its how businesses survive
