That video had me cracking up.
BUT what if your cut stroke is not long enough, or you shake too fast. I can see the ball inside not moving very much.

Man we've really become lazy....:(

Most cans say to shake often during spraying...how many of you would go back to the device for subsequent shaking...:headscrat

You mean it's not convenient to leave the can attached to the sawzall for spraying? :)

When you find that 2 year old can of rustoleum in the back of your paint cabinet these things are a godsend. It takes 2 minutes of shaking by hand to even get the marble moving and another couple of minutes before it is mixed properly.

I admit that I have been hoseclamping cans to blades for years in this situation.

if you want the job done right, tape it to the driveshaft of your truck and drive around the block 2 times

Reminds me of another use I've seen for a sawzall, that I can't really post a picture of or describe in too great a detail on here.

Suffice to say that there was a pliable/rubbery attachment fitted & that members of a certain gender might find it nice to use :pimpflash

I saw the story somewhere when the blade cut through the rubbery attachment. :shocking:

I read that one too:wtf: That guy had one hell of a wife to even consider trying that. Too bad he was too cheap to buy the real deal and now he'll never get near her again with a power tool:bounce:

I still cant figure out why he didnt know that a blade would cut through a latex toy when it is designed to cut through metal and wood.

Anyone watch the second video? Are they spray painting pointsettas <sp>?

I'm not sure that it is commercially available.

The one I saw didn't have the blade used as a mounting for the "attachment". Rather, the attachment was mounted (bolted actually :bounce:) onto a small square of ply, which had a dowel protruding out of it, which in turn was affixed to the blade.

An altogether safer method I should think.

That story of the blade cutting through is....... :scared:

ohh they make them. quick search turned this up. Just have to buy a "vac u lock" brand toy to fit onto the end
Do a search for "Reciprocating Saw Vac-U-Lock Adaptor (C426)"....I dont want to post a link to adult toy sites

Hey there everyone, I know this thread is probably dead but I have a great idea to share along the lines of paint can shaking. I had a customer that needed to shake 5,000 cans of aerosol paint so I designed an automated system to help them out. It's a bench mount for the sawsall. It's perfect for shop applications using multiple cans. I offer the templates to make these for free. All you have to do is ask. You can email me at - [email protected]

Beer or soda doesn't get excited or something from being shaken. What happens is that when you shake the cans small bubbles attach to the sides of the can which rapidly expand when you pop the tab. If you tap the sides of the can so the bubbles rise to the top before opening the tab nothing happens.

I thought the real redneck way was to tape it to the driveshaft of the truck that is up on blocks out on the front lawn? That way you don't have to "drive" anywhere... you can sit back and have a beer while your paint is mixed for you...

Where are all the shaken, not stirred jokes? Now all I need to do is invent a cocktail shaker that attaches to the sawzall.
