Hi,
I read Southeast Corner's post claiming to post so that he could get rid of the "you have never posted to our site before" message, so I thought I would, too.
My name is Dave and I am fascinated by leaking, rattling old British motorcycles along with leaking, rattling old British cars. I attempt to keep them running by the use of Stahlwille and Gedore tools, having put my fine collection of old Australian made Sidchrome tools into semi retirement.
I work in the oilfield, so it is in my interest to maintain a high level of oil leaks!!!!

Never been to that. Sounds like fun, I know a few from the Barossa that go to that event.

Post about your work as I am sure a few will be interested to see that. I am guessing oil rig so correct me if wrong as maybe it is big rigs :lol:. Also post about your Bikes as many would like to see them in your own workshop. I love the Nortons and BSA's and have even been to the British Bike rally here a few times even though my true interest is Hot Rods. :)

Yup oil rigs (land based) - I'm currently sitting on a rig in the Cooper Basin (North East South Australia) - exploratory gas wells to about 4000m.
I'll have to wait till I get home to post about bikes etc - I've lurked long enough to know that photographic evidence is MANDATORY - that should be mildly hilarious: me, posting photos :scared::scared:

Also an Aussie here. Living in New Jersey currently. Originally from Perth, but lived in Dandenong Vic. , Sydney, and Darwin. Also had rellies in Adelaide
