Hello!
My house was build in 1965, garage floor is the original. I bought the house about 20 year ago and did nothing to the sad garage floor, this is the year I'm going to change that! Floor is in poor shape, aggregate showing through in spots some seemingly soft areas and remnants of old paint here and there. Floor is about 20x20, 400 sq ft.
See attached pictures
So far I've received two quotes, one for $3100 the other $2000. First one wants to prep then skim coat entire floor then epoxy finish, second says he'll diamond grind then patch spots with epoxy, then finish with epoxy and top coat.
Frankly I wasn't planning on spending this much $, so I may attempt to do it myself. I'm thinking of renting a diamabrush concrete prep tool and machine from HD and seeing how it comes out. Then Epoxy-Coat products for finish.
Thoughts and advice appreciated!
Regards,
Tom
