Hi all-very cool site, I really wish I found it earlier. I finished building a detached three-car garage back in '08 and am getting a ton of ideas from this place. Looking forward to spending many hours this coming winter going through this site and all the posts.

Here she is. Got burned out on working on the house so I pulled up the garage project to gain a dry, red squirrel (grrrr) free place to work in. Favorite part of the whole project was yanking down the old one that was built in 1926 (I kept one piece of lumber and used it in the build of the new one). The whole thing was designed by me on Autocad and built by my friend and myself after work and on weekends. The only work I subbed out was the foundation/cement and brick. Made mistakes, learned alot and am happy to report the squirrels are still outside, where they belong.

I really like the steep pitched roof at the entry, reminds me of a style of house fairly common in my neighborhood.

Nice work on the design and construction of the garage. it really looks nice. Sounds like you will have plenty to share from your experience.
