Hi Gang!
I am in Stuart Florida (kinda in between Miami and Orlando). Ive done a bunch of stuff in 58 years but most of my adult life I've had something to do with "maintenance". I did hotel Maintenance in Hawaii for about 5 years back in the 80s and was lucky enough to have some amazing mentors. Not a day goes by that I don't use something those guys taught me. I also put in a few years working as a construction grunt.
I have helped to operate and maintain a wildlife Hospital for almost 25 years. The wildlife themselves actually can need pieces/parts at least when they are with us and I get to do leather work and mess about with bits of metal. I also maintain and construct our caging.
I do have a confession. I am an old tool junkie. Most recently its random machinist goodies. I got that infection from Abom79, Kieth Rucker and AvE (among others) on You-Tube.
I got here tonight when I was looking up a new to me vise (its a vice of mine) Now, if I can just find that thread again!
