Hi All,
Just as you thought that this horse has been as beat as it could be...
I need an OBD scanner. I would like something that ha bidirectional capabilities...
That said - I do a lot of work on Porsches, Subaru's, Nissans, BMWs, and a handful of other Asian cars.
So 1st problem the only non-factory tool that has any value is the Durametric, ok so I need a Durametric - which is a 1 trick pony (horse theme here...) only does Porsches. Then there is everything else - many of these cars are newer - 2011-2015...
Been looking at the Autel 708, the Launch Pad, looked at some used SO, and what I found is that you buy the tool and then pony up for the subscription BUT few seem to be less than 3-4 years off - meaning that Launch covers Nissan up to 2011 as a for example...
OTC seems to have middling coverage, Matco no charges you per marque per month....
Perhaps my only real choice is to get the Durametric and then a higher end reader like the Launch CRP129 or Autel equiv...
I found this: http://media.cygnus.com/files/base/VSPC/whitepaper/2015/06/2015_Scan_Tool_Spec_Guide-LR.pdf
Are there any good suggestions out there?
Thanks
Ray
