One of the management companies that gives me a lot of work called me about a furnace install one of their other guys did that I didn't have time for.
Apparently they got tagged by a section 8 inspector doing the inspection on this apartment.
I fixed a mountain of other butchered up bs on this furnace,for some reason I looked up and noticed a bunch of aluminum tape around what looked like a piece of b vent going back into a piece of single pipe.
I'm so fed up with fixing other people's **** ups,I flat out told the management co not to even call me to fix this clowns work anymore.

Just double or triple your hourly rate...........that should stop the calls or satisfy your frustration either way you win

I agree with that, up to a point. Let me explain.

When I was working at an appliance/electronics store repairing electronic equipment, we would occasionally get in a television set that was worked on by some other shop, or by some guy in his basement shop. The set would be so dicked up that it would take 3 times longer to repair what was once a simple problem and is now a major catastrophe. You can only charge so much to fix it, or the customer will just leave it and go elsewhere to buy a new one.

I'm missing it I guess. If you want to stay retured, just don't do the jobs anymore! As a now retired builder, it was stuff like this, that kept me busy! The pride of unfucking something, and making it right. Take pride in knowing you might have possibly saved several lives, including little children, by fixing that correctly!
