This is the first tool I've ever posted that I didn't know what it is before I posted it. Looks like a puller, but for what? It was in a friend's garage and he told me to take it because he didn't know what it's use on either. The inside of the drum has magnets.

That looks like a flywheel puller and it's still on a flywheel. Might be from a motorcycle engine.

If the inside of the flywheel has magnets, it's got a magneto. Probably from a small engine like a tractor or snowblower.
