I hate snakes......Grew up around rattle snakes, so at a young age your learn not to pick up anything without legs.

Dead snake.........12 gauged one at work a few years ago. I shot the SOB on the dock. The night wildlfe had it cleaned up by 8 AM.

One time a buddy and I were out in the garage in the evening brewing beer. Had a curious Skunk come wandering into the garage. We froze for the whole 5 minutes he was sniffing around until he wandered off.

Too bad to you didn't get a video of that.
