York 80 3" bullet vise - weekend find

Went to my first auction in ages and saw this awesome little vise mounted on a POC workbench. Luckily I just had to take the vise.
Had never heard of York before. Thanks to GJ I got educated. Haven't seen any other examples that still had a decal.

Wasn't sure till I got home and looked them up. Yea, good deal. Luckily there was a fairly small turnout. Unusual for an auction in that area that had some really nice old tools and farm equipment

I've had awful luck buying vises at auctions. Always somebody jacking up the price on one that I want.

Nice vices are the York's. Not a heavy duty vice IMHO, but a good vice nonetheless.
