Can anyone share info on Yorktown Tool boxes? Google search turns up little info.
Who made them? What era? Any value to collectors? Equivalent quality to Waterloo??
I found a mint original drop front Yorktown Box for sale, any info would be helpful.

I believe this to be a identical twin to a Snap-On chest of the same period.

Looks like a nice solid box. The handles a little different - makes me think of another brand which looked almost identical, MBC

I have only seen one. It looked like a Snap-On box from the same era, and was filled with Snap-On tools. It was part of the estate of a auto racing mechanic.

I believe Yorktown tool boxes were made in Lakewood/Jamestown NY and subsequently bought out by Matco. Matco currently operates a tool box plant in Lakewood NY. I believe the owner of Yorktown later went back in the business of producing tool boxes under the name of "Aero Industries" which is now defunct.
